Senior Planner

Job Description
In coordination with other members of the GIS and Planning team, coordinate planning activities and manage data by providing necessary support for the daily operation of the Collection Network Department (cleaning and inspection and repairs crews, supervisors and subcontractors)

Responsible for creating daily operation work orders for cleaning, inspection and repairs of sewer lines and associated infrastructures in the collection network.
Administer and support crews and supervisors in daily use of Cityworks.
Creating daily crew sheet and coordinating daily assignment of work orders operations.
Provide support for developing and updating daily schedule for supervisors and field crews.
Responsible for the creating service requests and follow-up with supervisors and updating of service request in CityWorks.
Assist in the preparation and implementation of sewer planning and development projects.
Carry out research, compile data and assess project conformity with planning.
Assist in the proper utilization and compliance with all work orders and procedures in Cityworks.
Coordinate dispatching for service request during the day.
Research and create reports for pipe line histories for customer claims and providing data for updating monthly spreadsheet for monthly report.
/Essential Functions:/ Work is performed mainly inside, but also outside with exposure to all kinds of weather conditions. Incumbent may be occasionally exposed to some noise, silica, dust, fumes, smoke, gases, greases, oils, electrical energy, solvents, and vibrations. Incumbent may work on slippery/uneven surfaces, around machinery with moving parts, moving objects/vehicles, and ladder/scaffolding, below ground and may be exposed to water and other liquid materials.
While performing the duties of this Job, the employee is regularly required to talk or hear. The employee is frequently required to stand; walk; sit; use hand to finger, handle, or feel; reach with hands and arms; climb or balance; stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl and taste or smell. The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this include close vision and distance vision.

/Nature & Scope-Principal Areas of Responsibilities:/
Assist in the development of the Geographic Information System
On a regular basis will perform various data entry tasks.
QA/QC and basic analysis of data entered into and out of the system.
Ensures the databases are updated and maintained as required
Develops and produces information and reports for project management and departments as requested
Assure work is performed in a safe and professional manner by following all corporate and regulatory policies, procedures, and emergency response procedures.
Carries out other duties as assigned
Required Experience
High School diploma or equivalent, Bachelor?s Degree in Business Administration or related field, (or equivalent experience)
Can be substituted for Trade School/Military Service or Technical School
Valid NYS Driver?s license
/Work Experience Needed/
Mid to High-Level 15 to 20 years? Utility experience, with specific experience in planning and/or large databases management (Excel, Access, Cristal Report?)
Mid to High-Level 15 to 20 years? experience with Cityworks
Experience working in the Wastewater Industry or other utility field preferred
Experience with Work Order and/or CRM ? Customer Relationship Management - System.

The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
