AUTO DEALERSHIP SERVICE MANAGER

Sun GMC - Buick of Wantagh, L.I. is NY's # 1 volume GMC - Buick dealership. We have an immediate opportunity for a top shelf Service Manager. I want the best and am willing to pay for it. You will be responsible for running an ethical, clean, safe service facility. He / She will operate the department at efficient production, building a loyal clientele, maintaining positive employee relationships, setting and obtaining revenue objectives, and maintaining service records. Our current service manager is leaving after 7 years only to work in a different field.
Service Manager Duties and Responsibilities:
o Forecast goals and objectives for the department and strive to meet them.
o Hire, train, motivate, counsel, and monitor the performance of all service department staff.
o Strive for harmony and teamwork with all other departments.
o Understand, keep abreast of, and comply with federal, state and local regulations that affects service operations, such as hazardous waste and OSHA.
o Conduct meetings with department employees to discuss activities and problems of mutual interest.
o Monitor technicians; prepare information for payroll.
o Communicate with customers before there are problems. Get involved in escalated customer issues.
o Ensure that Service Department employees follow safety policy and practices and that they report any and all accidents immediately.
o Strive to increase the production and earnings of every service employee.
o Monitor the effective labor sales rate on a continuous basis.
o Monitor Repair Order trends, such as number of Repair Orders completed, number of items per Repair Order, etc.
o Ensure that proper service sales techniques are being used.
o Ensure that customer inconveniences, complaints and misunderstandings are dealt with fairly and quickly.
o Monitor dispatching to maximize efficiency of shop.
o Monitor flat rate flagging practices on a daily basis.
o Quality-check completed jobs.
o Understand the manufacturer's warranty policy and procedures.
o Enforce Factory Policy and Procedures.
o Monitor warranty receivables to comply with Factory Policies and Procedures .

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
