Responsibilities:
1.
Developing accurate and comprehensive estimates for heavy civil construction and large-scale demolition projects.
2.
Utilizing estimating software to optimize bid preparation and project cost management.
3.
Collaborating with project teams to understand project scope, identify potential challenges, and propose cost-effective solutions.
4.
Analyzing project drawings and specifications to determine the overall estimated cost of a project.
5.
Preparing detailed bid packages, including all necessary documentation for submission.
6.
Participating in bid negotiations and discussions with clients and suppliers.
7.
Reviewing and assessing cost estimates to ensure accuracy and completeness.
8.
Providing ongoing cost tracking and updates throughout the project lifecycle.
9.
Collaborating with project management teams to ensure that projects are completed on time and within budget.
Qualifications:
To be successful in this role, you will need:
1.
A minimum of 3 years of experience in heavy civil construction and/or large-scale demolition estimating.
2.
Proficiency in using estimating software for bid preparation and project cost management (HCSS Heavy Bid highly preferred).
3.
A proven track record of preparing accurate and detailed estimates for complex projects.
4.
Strong analytical skills, with an ability to interpret project plans and specifications.
5.
Excellent communication skills, with an ability to negotiate and liaise effectively with clients and suppliers.
6.
A strong attention to detail, with an ability to maintain accuracy in a high-pressure environment.
7.
A bachelor's degree in civil engineering, construction management, or a related field is required.

Don't Be Fooled

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
