Marketing o Using established templates, update monthly public program flyers and calendars o Using established templates, and working with educational team, update public event flyers and post to website at least 1 month before o Review Internet coverage of the Center monthly, flagging sites that need to be updated, archiving articles and user reviews, and identifying opportunities for additional coverage o Monitor Google SEO data and website visitation monthly and record findings on a spreadsheet o Assist with wayfinding online, updating maps and driving directions o Update Center's website with events, programs, and pop-up promotions and create new Social Media and Events Manager, Jones Beach Energy & Nature Center, 2 pages when necessary o Design or update existing design of Center's rack card and other marketing materials o Manage subscriptions to online sites (provide updated information, add information and photos, etc.) and identify additional ones o Working with educators, develop and implement plan to increase visitation and program sign-ups o Manage feedback surveys o Create entries for state-wide newsletter o Write blog posts for the NYS Parks website o Send program flyers to NYS Parks website (https:
//parks.ny.gov/regions/long-island/default.aspx) o Compile spreadsheets with contacts for outreach, including libraries, schools, non-profits, etc. o Assist Director with compiling photos, posters, and data for reports Events o Working with educators, director, and assistant to the director, schedule lectures and special events 3-6 months ahead o Prepare room and AV needs for the event o Be present for the event itself, ensuring flow and addressing logistical and technological issues o Take photos of the event for social media and reporting o Use Instagram Live for lectures o Collect surveys post-event o Introduce speaker(s) o Put the event on the Center's staff calendar as well as the Center's website calendar o Be responsible for safekeeping of all media equipment, from HDMI cords to tripods, camera, and audio tools o Working with educators, schedule and help develop rotating exhibits for Black History Month, Women's History Month, etc. Social Media o Post at least once a day to Instagram and Facebook, focusing on events at the Center that show people using the space o Develop quality social media posts (3-4/week) that highlight conservation issues, energy research, exhibits at the Center, etc. o Use hashtags strategically to expand audience o Use social media guidelines for color, image cropping, font, etc. o Respond to user posts and flag inappropriate user comments about race, gender, etc.

Salary Range:
From $18.97 to $18.97 Hourly
Minimum Qualification
Minimum qualifications- none Preferred qualifications include:
o A BA or BS degree in relevant discipline o Strong interest in energy as well as environmental conservation o Teaching experience preferred o Ability to work as a positive team member o Must possess a valid driver's license o Strong written skills and outreach abilities preferred College degree and some social media experience required. Excellent writing skills. Working knowledge of graphic design programs such as Canva preferred.Estimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.

The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
